The republic of Kirgizstan
The republic of Kirgizstan (198.500 km) is located in Central Asia. The country borders in the east on with Kazakhstan, on the southeast with China, in the south with Tadzhikistan and in the West with Uzbekistan. In 1991 Kirgizstan declared about its independence.

Capital :  Bishkek.

Official languages :  Bishkek.

Population :
Majority of the population of 5, 3 million consist of Kirghizs 64,9 % . In addition to this in the republic live Uzbeks, Russians, Uigurs, Ukrainians, Tajiks, Tatars, and Kazakhs.

Climate :
The climate of Kirgizstan sharply continental, with dry and hot summer and cold winter.

Nature :
Kirgizstan lies on highland massive of Tien Shan; the highest summits reach 7.439 m. and 7.134 m. Population is concentrated, first of all, in Chew's valley on the north and in the Fergana valley in the south, and also, in the insignificant quantity in the mountain valleys, around the large lake Issyk-Kul'. The mountain range Alai completes the southern boundaries of the country. Main water source of the country - river Naryn, Chew and Talas. Foothills, to the height of 1.500 m., consist of steppes. From 1.500 m. predominate the Alpine meadow and the forests, which reach snowy plains and glaciers. In the forests are counted approximately 120 kinds of trees and bushes. Having only 4% of forest space, Kirgizstan is one of the poor in forests among the countries of Asia; however, there are the largest in the world forest of the walnut. In the forests live roe, the bears, martens, blocks and lynxes. Leopards, sheep of Marco Polo, eagles and falcons can also be observed. The marmots are widely spread in the alpine meadows.

Bishkek :
ONE OF THE GREEN CITIES OF THE WORLD.
Bishkek - capital of Kirgizstan, counts more than 900 thousand inhabitants. City arose on the spot, where caravans stopped in the times of great Silk Road, and in the way of its development many times were renamed. Bishkek is located on height of 800 m. above sea level at the northern edge of the Kirghiz mountains, which reach height of 4.875 m. In northeast of the city to the border of Kazakhstan lies steppe landscape.
Today Bishkek is the lively and modern city of central Asia with many restaurants and cafe. This is city with the wide avenues, the marble buildings and the habitable buildings, typical for the Soviet architecture. In the city there are no historical monuments. Almost all streets in the city center are equipped on both sides with the irrigating channels, which water the numerous trees, which give into the hot summer shadow and which impart to the picture of city the lively nature. As a whole in the territory of city are located about 20 parks. Is very popular the oak park, which was based in 1890 by Russian botanist Fetisov.
In the museum of depictive skill, together with pictures and sculptures of Kirghiz masters are displayed the work of Russian artists - Serov, Repin, Rerikh, Vrubel, and Levitan. Based in 1927, museum of history, thank to the most interesting exposure, it gives the most complete idea about the history of Kirgizstan, about culture and style of life of the tribes living here and national character from the antiquity to the present day.

Osh - city with the 3000-year history.

Osh
city, located in the outskirts of Fergana valley in the south of Kirgizstan. Its history counts 3000 years. The population of city totals more than 240.000 people and it is represented by Kirghizs, Uzbeks, and Tajiks. This is the very lively city with the largest in Central Asia open air market.

Karakol
PLACE FOR TRACKING
Karakol - city with the population of 55.000 people, is located to the east of lake Issyk-Kul' and is located in 150 km. from the boundary with China. This is the administrative capital of region Issyk-Kul'. Karakol should not be confused with the small city of Karakel in Dzhalalabad region.
In the city it is sufficiently few places, which could be interesting to visitors, with exception of very dear wooden mosque, which was erected by Chinese specialists in 1907-1910 yr. without the use m of metal nails, and also attractive wooden Orthodox Church (1895 y.)
Karakol is outstanding place for tracking.

Naryn
SPLENDID ENVIRONMENTS
Naryn - old city on the Great Silk road in central Kirgizstan. It is located in 140 km. from southwest of lake Issyk-Kul', on both sides Naryn river, which flows over the picturesque gorge to the height 2050 m. above sea level. In Naryn it lives 40.000 inhabitants; it is the second largest city after Karakol in the eastern part of Kirgizstan.
In the suburbs of Naryn are located the canyons with the red cliffs, the river valley Naryn and the lake, into which fall large and small inflow of Naryn.
Issyk-Kul' - pride of the Kirghiz people Kirghizs are proud of the lake Issyk-Kul', which is located on the height 1609 m above sea level. The lake, whose area is 6.300 km; it is the second largest alpine lake of peace after Titicaca lake in South America. Water in the lake is slightly salt. 180 rivers fall into the lake.
